Mark your calendars for the 2024 Enhancing Quality Staff (EQS) Symposium! Join us on May 30, 2024, at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs for the 28th EQS Symposium. Keep an eye out for further details, including registration and the conference schedule.
The University of Minnesota Libraries’ Enhancing Quality Staff symposium offers a platform for library paraprofessional and support staff to delve into a variety of relevant professional topics, exchange ideas and experiences, enhance skills through continuing education, and focus on personal well-being.
We extend a warm welcome to attendees from all library backgrounds. Typically, EQS attracts around 150-170 individuals, with attendees choosing from over 20 sessions throughout the day. Sessions are approximately 40-45 minutes long, followed by a brief Q&A session. Presenters come from a wide array of institutions.
Please note that this conference will be conducted in-person, and sessions will not be recorded.
Call for Proposals
The EQS Committee is currently inviting proposals for 45-minute conference presentations at this year's symposium. Presentations can be geared towards professional or personal well-being.
When submitting a presentation, please tailor your ideas towards paraprofessional and support staff. Although this symposium is designed for library paraprofessionals and support staff, everyone is welcome to attend.
Please submit session proposals via the Google form by March 29, 2024. You will receive notification once your proposal has been reviewed.
