The MnLC Summit on Learning and Technology will be held on August 8, 2024 at St. Cloud State University. We are seeking presenters to provide our audience with a varied and relevant program! Please consider submitting proposals to present. The Summit Planning Committee would also appreciate it if you would share this Call for Proposals widely within your institutional networks and with colleagues. I have attached a flyer with all the information to make sharing easier.

Event Details

  • Date: August 8, 2024
  • Location: St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota
  • Purpose: The Summit brings together K-12 and higher education educators to learn, share and network on topics related to digital and online learning.

Mission of the MnLC

  • The MnLC is a joint powers partnership between the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), University of Minnesota, and Minnesota State.
  • Its mission is to promote high-quality, online, blended, and digital learning and support educators teaching in these environments.
  • The MnLC is committed to advancing racial justice, equity, and inclusion in online and digital learning.
  • The MnLC executes its mission through three primary activities:
    • Professional Development: Enhancing educators’ skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborative Projects: Encouraging joint efforts in the field of digital learning.
    • Advocacy: Promoting effective digital learning policy and practice.

Topics for Presentations

Presenters have the choice of proposing a 25-minute or 45-minute presentation. The MnLC is seeking presenters willing to share their expertise on the following topics:

  • Digital Inclusion/Digital Equity
  • Emerging Technologies (such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality)
  • Innovative Practices (including alternative pathways and credentials)
  • Quality Instructional Practices and Assessment
  • Open Education/Open Education Resources
  • Academic Technology, Policy, and Practice

If you have ideas outside of these categories that you feel are of interest to Summit attendees, please feel free to submit them! 

Presentation Proposal Submission

The Call for Proposals form can be completed via MnLC's Google Form. Proposals are due by April 25, 2024. Presenters will be notified by May 10, 2024

This Summit provides an excellent opportunity for educators to collaborate, learn, and contribute to the advancement of digital learning.
