Body

The Minnesota Libraries Publishing Project (MLPP) provides online publishing tools for independent authors, supported by Minnesota's libraries. MLPP's core offering is free access to Pressbooks, a leading online publishing service, for all Minnesota authors.

Since the program's inception in 2017, Minnesotans have published hundreds of books through MLPP. Notable works have included textbooks written by professors and shared (free of charge) with their classes, novels written by independent authors, K-12 classroom compilations, family histories, and much more. A small collection is profiled on the MLPP website's Book Showcase.

The platform includes professional-grade book design options and downloadable formats suitable for print copies, online publication, or inclusion in an ebook marketplace. Whether you're a budding author looking to publish your first book, a professor with a textbook to offer, or a teacher eager to plan a writing project for your class this fall, MLPP is for you
