Quick Summary

A new version of the Minnesota Reflections Metadata Guidelines in now available. Version 5.0 of the Guidelines contains a number of new features and enhancements, including a rework of the overall design, 6 new tables, and updated list of Physical Format terms, field name changes, and an updated Table of Contents.

The Metadata Librarian for the Minnesota Digital Library is pleased to announce a new version of the Minnesota Reflections Metadata Guidelines! This updated version includes substantial changes in how data is organized, arranged, and displayed. Version 5.0 of the Guidelines contains a number of new features and enhancements, including: 

  • A rework of the overall design of the Guidelines - including a larger font size in some places to denote importance. 
  • Addition of 6 new tables to help explain things and show relationships. 
  • Updated Table of Contents. 
  • Updated list of Physical Format terms. 

A number of field names were also changed to reflect how things currently display on our new website:
