Quick Summary
On Friday, March 13th, we held a training event at Minitex for colleagues interested in learning about standardized rights statements and how to apply them. A small but engaged group joined us and together we reviewed the statements from rightsstatements.org and worked through examples from Minnesota Reflections and the University of Minnesota's collections. Our participants found that applying rights statements is often easier than you think!

A small but engaged group joined us and together we reviewed the statements from rightsstatements.org and worked through examples from Minnesota Reflections and the University of Minnesota's collections. Our participants found that applying rights statements is often easier than you think! After lunch, everyone was able to get started on assigning statements to their own collections, with the training team on hand to answer any questions.
If you missed this training event and would like to participate in a future rights workshop or other educational opportunity, we want to hear from you! We will be sending out a survey to assess preferences for future rights training, and developing a range on in-person and remote options based on the results. Please watch your in-boxes for the survey and give us your feedback!
