The Minnesota State Law Library in St. Paul, Minnesota, collects state and federal legal materials, and is the oldest continuing library in Minnesota. The Library and the Territory of Minnesota were created by the same act of Congress on March 3, 1849. Documents included in the State Law Library contributions to Minnesota Reflections are the handwritten first Rules of Court for Minnesota, the Republican and Democratic versions of the Minnesota Constitutional debates, and other early Minnesota legal materials.
