Body

Registration is now open for the 2018 MDL Regional Meetings! Please join us on either Wednesday, May 9th at Gustavus Adolphus College's Folke Bernadotte Library in St. Peter, at the Douglas County Public Library in Alexandria on Wednesday, May 16th, or the Kathryn A. Martin Library at the University of Minnesota-Duluth on Wednesday, May 23rd. You are welcome to attend on the date and at the location that best fits your schedule, as the progam will be the same at each meeting.

Our program for the day will begin in the morning with a planning conversation about future directions for the Minnesota Digital Library facilitated by Laura Johansson. Ms. Johansson has been working as an independent organization development consultant since 2011, providing dozens of clients from the private, nonprofit, and public sector a personalized approach to change management projects. She enjoys building clients' capacity to generate strategic and creative, asset-based solutions. Ms. Johansson is a Certified Technology of Participation Facilitator (CTF) and mentor trainer with the Minnesota Technology of Participation and the international Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA). She also has a master of science in organization development (MSOD) from American University.

After lunch, attendees will enjoy a presentation by MDL staff on projects we have been working on in the past year, such as the rights statements standardization project and the Minnesota Reflections primary source sets. We will wrap up with lightning round conversations with colleagues on a variety of topics such as rights statements, metadata basics, primary source sets, digital preservation, Minnesota Reflections content themes, recent DPLA developments, and Scan for Keeps. We value your input and participation in each section of the day, so please join us! Links to register for each meeting are available here. See you in May!
