Quick Summary
Minitex is offering $1,000 grants to teams of educators (K12 or post-secondary) in Minnesota and South Dakota through the 2025 MNOP OER Pathfinder Program. The program is designed to help kickstart sustainable efforts in open education, and applications are due September 23.
The Minitex Network for Open & Affordable Practices (MNOP) invites proposals for the 2025 MNOP OER Pathfinder Program, a new microgrant opportunity for K12 or post-secondary educators - designed to spark collaborative, sustainable efforts in open education, while building broader capacity throughout Minnesota and South Dakota.
Teams of two or more from Minnesota or South Dakota educational institutions - whether just beginning their OER work or looking to renew momentum - are eligible to apply, and some of the funding is set aside for teams from each state. Each selected team will receive $1,000 in funding, plus access to a regional network of peers and resources. Institutions with minimal or no current OER infrastructure or formal programming are strongly encouraged to apply. Grant deliverables are intentionally flexible, allowing teams to define outcomes that are most relevant and responsive to their local context.
Applications are due September 23.
