During the NISO virtual conference on BIBFRAME & Real World Applications of Linked Data, Carolyn Hansen gave a clear and informative presentation on BIBFRAME, giving a general overview as well as addressing some challenges and recent developments.
At the June 15 NISO virtual conference "BIBFRAME & Real World Applications of Linked Data" Tim Thompson from Princeton University Library discussed how they plan to represent handwritten annotations from Jacques Derrida's personal library using RDF vocabularies and ontologies.

ALCTS (Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, a division of ALA) is offering a series of two webinars on LC Classification (LCC). Hosted by Minnesota's own Bobby Bothmann in September, the Introduction level webinar will "briefly introduce the history of LC Classification (LCC) and the general principles of classification," while the Intermediate level "will focus on the selection and construction of LC Classification (LCC) call numbers."
The 2nd Upper Midwest Digital Collections Conference (#UMDCC16) will be held on August 9-11th at St. Ambrose University campus, Davenport, Iowa (Quad Cities). The conference will be held jointly with the 2016 CONTENTdm User Group Meeting, sponsored by OCLC, on August 10-11th. Registration opens in June, but group hotel rate options are now up on the conference website.
