Quick Summary
Designed for grades 5-12, The Juice is a completely new kind of educational resource: a daily newspaper, a fact-checked database, an ever-growing multidisciplinary textbook, a reading intervention tool, and a literacy benchmarking platform all rolled into one intuitive product that takes just a few minutes to learn.
Every weekday morning, The Juice's team of journalists and educators delivers five originally produced, fact-checked, nonpartisan current events articles at four differentiated reading levels. Each article is paired with a comprehension question aligned to Minnesota ELA Learning Standards for Reading Informational Texts.
Each daily issue of The Juice includes an infographic so that students learn to read data, an uplifting piece from an ongoing SEL-conscious series, "On the Bright Side," a new video, a new poll, a Quote of The Day, vocabulary exercises, and so much more. Available with side-by-side translations into 70+ languages, The Juice's content is easily searchable, and the library of over 11,000 articles across four reading levels grows daily.
"Extra Juice" features are Q&A pop-ups that break down nuanced current events issues within the text, while "Content Tags" allow librarians and teachers to find articles aligned to schools' subject areas via the C3 Social Studies Standards and Common Core Standards for STEM.
