Body

Whether you are a media specialist who is completely familiar with eLibrary Minnesota, or a classroom teacher or TOSA who has not yet checked it out, you may find it challenging to target the many ways in which this treasure trove of vetted, authoritative, and relevant resources can help educators in the classroom.

To assist educators in finding the ELM content that is most relevant to their local environment, the O&I librarians at Minitex have created asynchronous modules to navigate the essentials. Broken into elementary and secondary modules, and estimated to take 30-60 minutes to complete, these self-paced, interactive tutorials will give teachers all the essentials that they need to take advantage of all of the curricular content and research tools available. You can find the modules in the Educator and Librarian area of eLibrary Minnesota. The modules contain important instructional and technical information about how to use eLibrary Minnesota in your environment. Upon completion, you can print an optional certificate for 1 CEU.

Finally, for quick, ready-to-use slide decks you can take and share with teachers and students, go to the Curriculum Resources for K-5 and Curriculum Resources for 6-12 pages. These presentations are free for anyone to take, share, and adapt. They run through each of the key eLibrary Minnesota K-12 resources in a quick, easy-to-use fashion.
