EBSCO has announced new user interface with new features and functions for the LearningExpress platform. These changes will automatically appear live for LearningExpress Library and LearningExpress Job & Career Accelerator on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
It looks like they will be adding a more prominent search box to the homepage and the centers and easier access to the resources. Here are some of the announced changes in look and function to expect:
- Clean and simple new design to the homepage
- Improved access to the tests, tutorials, eBooks, articles, and guidance pages
- More recognizable naming conventions for centers, categories, and subcategories
- Improved navigation on home, center, category and sub-category pages
- Prominent search box with upgraded functionality
- Access to content with fewer clicks and without the carousel
- Responsive interface design for easy reading on devices of all sizes
- Easier navigation to resources
- Improved speed and performance
According to EBSCO, no action is required on the library’s end. The changes will happen automatically and all current personal accounts with accessed content will remain unchanged. There are no new links that will need to be updated.
Reference Outreach & Instruction librarians will update learning materials after the new interface is released.
