Quick Summary
Accessibility is an important part of equity and inclusion work. Our statewide database vendors make accessibility documentation available and we want to be sure it is easy for our libraries to find.
Accessibility is an important part of equity and inclusion work. Our statewide database vendors make accessibility documentation available and we want to be sure it is easy for our libraries to find. You can see our inventory of this documentation for our ELM vendors on our Database Accessibility page.
This documentation typically takes the form of Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs), which most of our vendors provide to indicate their platforms’ level of compliance with accessibility standards.
We hope this helps our libraries to serve their researchers, and we plan to use it as a base from which to advocate for greater accessibility to e-resources. Thanks to our vendor partners for making their content as easily navigable as possible to serve all library users.
