One of the more popular graphic novels in Ebooks Minnesota, This place: 150 years retold, receives high ratings across the board.  This graphic novel anthology looks at key events in the history between Indigenous, Métis, Inuit peoples, and Canadian settlers over the past 150 years.  Some say this is the "dawn to a new storytelling tradition that doesn't need to be held back." 

This book, published by Highwater Press in 2020, contains multiple contributors including Kateri Akiwenzie-Damm, Tara Audibert, and David A. Robertson.  As well as being beautifully illustrated and engaging, this book is also eye-opening.  By using real events, documents, and people, the legitimacy and authenticity of this title shine through.  Every story in this anthology offers a timeline of related events as well as a personal note from the author. The interest age for This place: 150 years retold is labeled as 12+ and grades as 8-12.
