Created by the global literacy non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, this advocacy day calls attention to the millions of adults around the world who lack basic reading and writing skills and promotes literacy as a human right that belongs to all people.
It's easy to participate: simply grab a book, find an audience, and read out loud.
