Minneapolis native Larry Millet, worked as a writer, reporter, and editor for the St. Paul Pioneer Press for most of his career. This acclaimed author has written eleven works of local historical nonfiction and a series of Sherlock Holmes mystery novels set in the 1890s, many of which take place in Minnesota, as well as other mystery stories and collaborations. Several of his works have been nominated for Minnesota Book Awards, and his most recent publication, Minnesota Modern: Architecture and Life at Midcentury, won a 2016 Minnesota Book Award in the category Minnesota.
