The popular sportsman’s weekly publication is now available as a comprehensive digital archive, featuring content from 1967 to present.
Outdoor News, a Minnesota-based publisher of hunting, fishing, and conservation news, traces its roots back to founder Jim Peterson in 1967. Peterson, a passionate outdoorsman, recognized the need for a dedicated platform to disseminate news, insights, and stories about the activities and issues that mattered most to fellow hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Throughout its history, Outdoor News has remained true to its founding principles, providing timely and accurate information, promoting ethical outdoor practices, and advocating for the preservation of natural resources. Initially, the publication served primarily the local Minnesota audience, providing coverage of hunting and fishing regulations, conservation efforts, and stories of outdoor adventures. As Outdoor News gained traction and credibility within the outdoor community, its influence began to extend beyond Minnesota’s borders. The publication’s commitment to journalistic integrity, coupled with its focus on issues relevant to hunters, anglers, and conservationists, has attracted readers from across the country.
