Quick Summary
Discuss with librarian colleagues the role of libraries in open and no-cost content. How do you participate in affordability at your institution? How do you communicate the library role to others? We will share concerns and best practices about OER and affordable content.
Minnesota State has been a leader in using Open Educational Resources and Affordable Content in their support of the student Z-Degree. MNPals supports this work among its members, and is facilitating Community of Practice meetings for librarians working on OER/Affordable initiatives. This particular meeting will focus on the role of libraries in open and no-cost content. How do you participate in affordability at your institution? How do you communicate the library role to others? We will share concerns and best practices about OER and affordable content.
All Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota librarians are invited to attend. In the spirit of all things open, you do not need to be a part of Minnesota State or MNPals to participate. Join us to discuss this exciting and emerging field.
