Quick Summary

In late November, as part of EBSCO's organization-wide focus on user privacy, they will release a redesigned consent experience in their products. This will be available when users create a MyEBSCO personal account.

In recent months, we reviewed how we communicate with users in the product about data privacy rights and functionality. The review found opportunities to streamline language and improve the experience for researchers by offering a more intuitive consent interaction. The redesign will provide clearer - and more concise - messaging to users who create a personal MyEBSCO account.

Please note, this release will have no impact on users who already have, and use, a MyEBSCO account. The changes will be visible only to users setting up an account for the first time.

While this does not require any setup or changes, if your library has any user-facing documentation about the MyEBSCO account creation experience, you may wish to update any support materials you created to assist users after it is released.
