As part of our commitment to delivering quality service, we are upgrading our internal visual analytics and reporting capability (Tableau) with Tableau Cloud, which is hosted in AWS.
Because Tableau may process your organization’s data in connection with the services and products that EBSCO provides, this communication serves as notification that Tableau will be added as a new subprocessor.
Controls on Data Use
- All information from or about EBSCO customers is considered confidential and will be maintained in accordance with the terms of customer agreements.
- Tableau has certifications confirming their commitment to maintaining controls designed to protect data and keep it secure, as detailed here.
- Tableau will only process data in accordance with EBSCO’s instructions, maintaining appropriate technical, organizational and administrative controls.

Pursuant to our Customer agreement, and in accordance with relevant data protection regulations, you have the right to object to the use of Tableau as a replacement subprocessor by providing written notice within 14 days of this notification. Contact our Privacy group at privacy@ebsco.com.
