Update on the Recent Multimedia on Ovid Release
Dear Ovid Customer:
Following up on our early August communication, we have listened closely to user feedback about the introduction of multimedia. We are introducing the following updates today that will give users more flexibility when handling multimedia in search results.
- Include Multimedia Checkbox - allows you to choose whether or not to include Multimedia as part of your search
- Removal of Thumbnails from Initial Search- you will no longer see thumbnails within your initial search results, but will have easy access to all results by clicking on the Multimedia results banner
- Improved View By Results Toggle - shows you how many Text and Multimedia search results get returned

Please note, there have been no changes to the Multimedia Browse tab.
Additionally, if you previously contacted Support to suppress Multimedia results, this release will not affect your existing settings. When you are ready to roll out Multimedia on Ovid to your users, please contact Ovid Customer Support to update your settings.
