We’re pleased to announce registration is now open for the joint Upper Midwest Digital Collections Conference (#UMDCC20) and the Minnesota Digital Library Annual Meeting (#mndiglib2020) on November 5-6, 2020. Registration is free for this all-virtual conference.

Join us for 18 breakout sessions over two days on topics such as digital collection building during the pandemic, creating indigenous digital collections, building collaborative and inclusive workflows, and more. Concurrent sessions will be recorded, so you don’t have to miss any of it!

Keynote and Plenary Sessions

The keynote and plenary session speakers will be shared soon on the conference event webpage. The conference theme is cross-pollination, to connect colleagues, share projects, and learn from each other across physical, institutional, and other boundaries.

On November 5th, the keynote will focus on how to better integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into our work and within our organizations. The plenary session on November 6th will address the emerging practice of building new digital collections that reflect current social and political events. These "in the now" digital projects, including those that document the pandemic and anti-racism work, will have far-reaching implications for our professional practice.

We look forward to seeing you at the conference this fall!
