Join our team of curious researchers who perform complex economic, legal and tax policy research. The Minnesota Department of Revenue seeks a Research Librarian. The Research Librarian works in the Tax Research Division and provides high-level reference services to Department of Revenue employees in a professional, non-partisan manner. The librarian is responsible for managing the library’s physical collection, online catalog and subscription services for the department. This is a solo librarian position and operates with considerable independence and autonomy. Through collaboration with other state government libraries, the position encourages knowledge and resource sharing as well and mentorship growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of reference librarian experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity researching government sources
  • Experience building rapport and communication with customer to clarify information needs
  • Experience working with integrated library system platforms such as ExLibris
