Since December 2023, twenty-four Minnesota libraries have been working together to preserve over 500,000 books for future generations. This program benefits everyone: users can access all of these materials through interlibrary loan, while participating libraries get the flexibility to better manage their collections and physical space.

If your library has been considering joining, the process has never been easier. We'll work with you to help identify materials to retain and guide you through the process of making retention commitments. One new library has already signed up, and we are looking for a few more to join them. Because our policies and guidelines are already in place, we anticipate a smooth process for integrating new members.
