Job Summary
The Student Learning Librarian is responsible for facilitating the connection between library resources and other areas of the college, in addition to meeting the information needs of a diverse community of learners and educators. The Student Learning Librarian delivers reference and instruction services, maintains liaison relationships with assigned instructional divisions, and participates in developing and delivering Library and Learning Commons services. This position serves in providing guidance, collaboration, and support to college faculty in the design of instructional materials and Open Education Resources. This position also assists faculty in the implementation of strategies, which facilitate the integration of a variety of technologies into the instructional process. The Student Learning Librarian supports faculty, staff and student use and development of Open Educational Resources and other materials that encourage student learning. This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution.
