Judges are needed for the Adult Fiction, Young Adult, and Communities Create competition categories. The deadline for volunteering is Friday, April 18.

MLA is seeking judges for the 8th annual Minnesota Author Project, including educators, booksellers, librarians, and others who know and love books!
Contest categories include Adult Fiction, Young Adult, and Communities Create. Winners receive a $2,000 cash prize, glass award, recognition at the MLA annual conference, a write-up in Library Journal, recognition from the American Library Association, and opportunities to promote their work in Minnesota public libraries. The contest is spearheaded by MLA in partnership with the Minnesota Library Foundation and Lyrasis.
This year we want to draw special attention to the Communities Create category, which is a great opportunity for Minnesota schools, neighborhoods, and other community groups to put their work before a wider audience. In addition to signing up to be a judge, consider telling your personal and professional networks about this category of the contest
