Join our team and support our mission to preserve marginalized histories! East Side Freedom Library is hiring a Project Assistant for its Community Digital Repository. This part-time, 20 hrs/week position offers benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage.

As a Project Assistant, you'll collaborate with diverse communities to digitize, contextualize, and preserve archival collections. Help make local, community-driven stories accessible for future generations and promote solidarity, justice, and equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digitizing materials & assisting community partners with archives
  • Ensuring respectful, culturally informed descriptions of materials
  • Gathering feedback for improved collection stewardship
  • Engaging with the community and helping train partners
