The Minnesota Author Project is a literary contest that spotlights Minnesota's best self-published books. Contestants must be residents of Minnesota and their submissions must be self-published. Winners are chosen in three categories: Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, and Communities Create. The awards are sponsored by MLA, the Minnesota Library Foundation, and Bibliolabs.
