Description

The Finance and Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for managing the financial (approximately 65% of the position duties) and human resources (approximately 35% of the position duties) related activities for the Viking Library System (VLS). Duties include payroll processing, billing and invoicing, fiscal grant management, and human resources management. The Finance and Human Resources Coordinator serves as a consultant to the Director in all areas of finance and human resources, including laws, regulations, and standards.

This is a new position for VLS. The successful candidate will work closely with VLS’s current third-party accounting firm as VLS determines which functions may be retained short-term and long-term with the third-party accounting firm.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a governmental or non-profit setting.

Wage and Benefits

The 2024 wage range for this full-time exempt, salaried position is; $63,667.00-$86,424.00 annually. Our advertised salary range includes all 12 steps. Typically, a selected candidate will be offered step 1 of the salary range. Additional salary considerations are subject to negotiation and dependent on skills and experience directly related to the position. Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, full-time employee health, dental and life insurance programs, and participation in the Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
