Primary Function

The East Bank Libraries Building Manager is a member of the libraries Facilities & Operation Management Department (FOM), in the Libraries administrative group. FOM manages facilities and provides services to support the activities and mission of the Libraries and University. The East Bank Libraries Building Manager is responsible for the facilities operations of the Walter Library building and two branch libraries: the Mathematics Library in Vincent Hall and the Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library in Rapson Hall. The East Bank Libraries Building Manager position is a fully on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Communications/Planning and project implementation 
  • Facilities/Building management 
  • Mail/Delivery/Moving services
  • Coordinates and supports special events
  • Access and safety coordinator
  • Procurement & materials management
  • Non-Facilities project, group, and committee responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with at least 2 years experience or a combination of related education and work experience equal to six years.
  • Project planning.
  • Experience with spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask extensively with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to independently solve operational problems.
  • Highly organized with ability to track details.
