Body

Creating a project scope statement and/or document, in essence, is creating a framework for a project. The statement or document can be formal or informal but should define the parameters for the project, what is and is not included in the project, and states the objectives and outcomes that will be met by the project. In this session we will take a look at how to create a good project scope statement or document, what scope creep is and how to prevent it, and how to create well-defined tasks and goals.

Each project management conversation will provide a short overview of a specific concept, method, skill, or technique that can be applied to a variety of projects followed by time for an interactive discussion of current work. These open office hours are designed to be a space for learning opportunities, community discussion, and sharing of ideas and practices in how to manage any library project. You can join at any time during the hour, but registration is required.
