LOCATION: Fargo, ND, Grand Forks, ND or Remote.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position in the 3000 broadband, exempt from FLSA (not overtime eligible).

SALARY: $60,000+ minimum annual salary (dependent on experience) plus full benefits package.

JOB SUMMARY: The Library Systems Administrator and Applications Developer is responsible for coordinating, developing, and maintaining the interoperability of external services and applications with ODIN supported technology solutions. The Library Systems Administrator and Applications Developer will collaborate with member libraries, ODIN staff, other CTS professionals, and external vendors to test and validate vendor software updates, support authentication options, create custom reports, load data from external sources and other similar activities. The Library Systems Administrator and Applications Developer will also design, develop, and integrate new web services and applications as well as maintain existing web applications ODIN supports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Web Scripting Languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, etc.)
  • Experience working in Enterprise Server environments (Apache, RHEL, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with consortium-based Library ILS or LSP Systems (SQL reporting, API Scripts, SIS integrations, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of authentication methods and protocols (SAML, CAS, ADFS, SIP2, Shibboleth, etc.)
  • Experience in administration and maintenance of web services and platforms (Drupal, EZproxy, SSL Certs, etc.)
  • Ability to provide and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with an established track record for functioning as a strong team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to help an organization implement cost-effective technology solutions and resolve problems through troubleshooting, analysis and/or business process redesign.
