The Traverse des Sioux Library System is seeking an Executive Director. This dynamic and challenging position will manage a library system that serves libraries in a nine-county area around Mankato, Minnesota.  

The Executive Director reports to a 13-member Board of Directors. Member libraries include 20 public libraries (with nearly 40 branches), academic libraries, and school media centers. Services provided to member libraries include the Evergreen integrated library system, cataloging, delivery, interlibrary loan, continuing education, programming, and much more, managed by nine staff members.

A Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program is required, plus five years of public library administrative experience, including management, fiscal, and operational activities. The position also requires extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of professional library work and a deep understanding of the services and programming needs for all types of libraries.

The position's salary range is $50-58 per hour or $104,000-120,640 per year, depending on experience. Generous benefits and leave policies offered.
