The City of Rochester and Rochester Public Library (RPL) seek qualified candidates for a Librarian I position in the Reference/Information Services Division. This Librarian I position focuses on: providing top-notch reference and readers’ advisory service; assisting customers with library technology and coordinating Wellness Corner programing and partnerships. This is a full-time position, where the individual hired will be working primarily weekdays, with some night and weekend shifts.

This position requires an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science (completed by September 2022). The ideal candidate for this position will have a positive outlook, a passion for helping people, superb attention to detail, and an ability to prioritize. They will embrace RPL’s core values, including creating a safe and and welcoming environment for all, providing exceptional library service, and upholding intellectual freedom.
