The Task Force is continuing to document the current MNLINK system and beginning to identify desired and critical features for the new system. The MNLINK Users Group is an important part of this process, and the first MNLINK Users Group discussion of the MNLINK Transition was held on Wednesday, June 8. A robust group discussion focused their attention around the two areas of potential replacement systems: end user expectations and resource sharing requirements. Attendees were provided with a series of questions focused on elements of the current MNLINK program functionalities and research around the existing landscape of resource sharing systems that may potentially replace the system. This community provided wonderful feedback to help ascertain which issues are most critical for a successful replacement system.
