South Dakota State University’s Hilton M. Briggs Library welcomes applications for the position of Research and Instruction Librarian at the Assistant Librarian rank. The successful candidate is an energetic and collaborative librarian with a desire to work with students and faculty in assigned subject disciplines. The librarian will build relationships with departmental faculty to facilitate information literacy instruction, develop critical thinking skills among students, and enhance the collections in the discipline. The librarian provides specialized research assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, including individual consultations as well as general reference and research support. The position is a 10-month appointment (July 22 through May 21 each year).
