Body

Registration is now open for the Tri-College University 2020 library workshop. This year’s program, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Strategies for Shifting our Library Cultures” will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota. The Tri-College University, Minitex, ODIN, and NLLN (Northern Lights Library Network) sponsor the workshop and we are pleased that this funding has allowed us to offer this workshop free of charge to all attendees. Registration will be open until March 20, 2020 or until we reach our maximum number of registrants. Please visit the workshop website for more information.

If you have questions about this event, please contact Lori Wallace (wallacel@mnstate.edu or 218.477.2461).

Who Should Attend

Librarians, library staff, and library administrators are encouraged to attend to learn more about the historical and institutional inequalities that hinder our goals for equity in our workplaces. Participants will engage with the presenter and each other in identifying and breaking down the barriers and challenges that impede our communication, both internal and external. Both groups and individuals can benefit from the content that is offered in this workshop. Throughout the day, participants will be asked to think about the culture of their libraries, so having multiple perspectives from each library will enhance our discussions and activities.
