CBS News recently published an interesting article about the pros and cons of reading books in print vs. electronic format.  So much of it depends on personal preference but according to this article, which cites a few studies, everything from lighting to age can influence ones choice to pick up one or the other.  Research has shown that there are some benefits to print reading including memory retention and focus and that some e-readers may affect ones ability to sleep due the type of lighting used.  So before you go out and get your loved one that Nook, Kindle, or iPad as a holiday gift, you might want to read this brief article.
