Body

One of the major concerns in education today is making sure that education programs are developed and offered with consideration to equity and inclusion for all students. In this webinar, the Minnesota Learning Commons (MNLC) partnership brings Dr. Macarre Traynham, Director of the Minnesota Department of Education’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Center, to discuss the work she is undertaking at MDE and how this impacts our K-12 system and higher education partners. The EDI Center provides leadership, direction and support in the development and implementation of an equity framework that guides the work and decision-making of the agency and supports school districts and charter schools in best practices and strategies to address systemic bias and inequities.

The webinar will be held November 17, 2021 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.

Please join us in a discussion with Dr. Traynham about her work at MDE and how MDE is working to address who is advantaged or disadvantaged in online and digital learning, as well as considerations for MNLC partners as we study the 60-Year Curriculum ideas.  Register here to attend the event. Connection information will be sent to you prior to the event.
