Google Glass. In a nutshell: Not for me. I think for many of the librarians at LibTech on March 20th, the feeling was mutual. Google Glass gives you several features of a smart phone but with hands free (except for the occasional swiping). However, unless you just want to snap surreptitious pictures all day and post them to Twitter and check the weather every 5 minutes, there doesn’t seem to be much use for Glass yet. As you can see in the picture, instead of looking down at a smart phone, you will be looking up into the Glass. Either way, you are taking yourself out of the conversation or “live” experience. It has a ways to go before I would want to purchase (or even win) a pair.
