GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

This position provides leadership and management for the digitization of archival collections at Augsburg College and Luther Seminary libraries, serves as liaison to a number of academic departments, participates actively in the provision and assessment of research services, and ensures a consistently high level of service quality to both local and remote users. The position will direct the work of student assistants and builds strong working relationships with internal and external partners. The position is responsible for establishing policies, procedures, and workflows for digitization services, consults with Technical Services staff on metadata standards, and works closely with the Electronic Resources and Research Services Librarian on projects of overlapping interest. It establishes and maintains positive working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates throughout Lindell Library, Augsburg College, Luther Seminary, and the broader academic library community.
