The Arrowhead Library System is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Automation Librarian. This librarian position will be responsible for design, implementation, upgrades and daily operations of the library’s SirsiDynix Horizon automation system, and its integration into discovery layer programs and applications. The librarian in this position is expected to work as part of a team with administration and other staff at system headquarters in organizational planning including coordination and execution of the strategic plan. This position directly supervises three employees and also develops automation and cataloging support training for library staff across the region.
This position requires an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science with a minimum of three years of experience in library service with an emphasis in library automation. A minimum of one year of professional cataloging experience is also required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
The entry level salary for this position for 2022 is $74,984 per year. The Arrowhead Library System offers a generous benefits package including health and dental insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave accumulation, and a state-managed retirement plan.
