The 2021 Kerlan Award will be presented to Ariane Dewey in recognition of singular attainments in the creation of children’s literature and in appreciation for generous donations of unique resources to the Kerlan Collection for the study of children’s literature.

Please join the Friends of The Kerlan, University of Minnesota Archives and Special Collections, Rain Taxi-Twin Cities Book Festival for a virtual Kerlan Award presentation with curator Lisa Von Drasek and the honoree, Ariane Dewey on Monday, October 4th, 6:30 Eastern, 5:30 Central. About the Kerlan Award

The Kerlan Award is given in recognition of singular attainments in the creation of children’s literature and in appreciation for generous donation of unique resources to the Kerlan Collection for the study of children’s literature. Individuals from all areas of children’s literature, including authors, illustrators, editors, publishers, and educators, are eligible for this honor.
