Body
I had the pleasure of attending the 2014 ET Conference (Education Technology Conference) hosted by the Thief River Falls Public Schools. They worked in partnership with the Northwest Service Cooperative, a cooperative for educators in Northwest Minnesota, to make this conference possible. It was held on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 24, 2014, at Thief River Falls Lincoln High School. It was great to see so many techies at this conference. Nearly everyone had a laptop and/or mobile device to work from. I gave two 90-minute workshops on “Online Information Literacy” and one 60-minute workshop on “STEM Resources in ELM.” Check out the Google Sites website for the “Online Information Literacy” sessions. There were over 75 sessions on using apps, social media, and interactive video conferencing for the classroom, video work and iPads, tablets for all grade levels, digital citizenship, the flipped classroom, and so much more. Sara Olson with Thief River Falls Schools was the coordinator for the conference and did an exceptional job of pulling off a well-attended conference with so many interesting tech topics.
