Quick Summary
The Minnesota Needs School Librarians! Coalition continues to grow as educators, library professionals, and advocates work together to support strong school library programs across the state. Join the movement!
The coalition welcomes anyone interested in advancing school librarianship in Minnesota. Parents, friends, family, local decision makers: All are invited to support the movement to ensure that all students in Minnesota have access to a high quality school library media program. Members meet monthly via Zoom to share ideas, coordinate advocacy efforts, and identify ways to make a difference. The next coalition meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. New participants are welcome.
There are several ways to get involved:
- Join the next coalition meeting to learn about current projects and connect with other advocates. No registration required.
- Show your support by ordering a Minnesota Needs School Librarians! T-shirt.
- Join the coalition and help it grow by sharing the Minnesota Students Need School Librarians! Coalition Interest Form with colleagues and other supporters
Together, we can help ensure that every Minnesota student has access to a strong school library program led by a licensed school librarian.
