Meet Piper Gordon, who joined the Minitex team this Month. She will be working in Resource Sharing as an Assistant.
Q: What made you interested in working in libraries
While working as a student at the Macalester library, I began to develop an interest in working in libraries, especially related to both access to material as well as archival preservation of materials. I have found an interest in how archival materials and artworks are stored in libraries and museums, respectively.
Q: What do you look forward to or enjoy in your position?
So far I have really been enjoying learning more about all the processes Minitex provides, including learning more about the collections facility and all the resources housed there!
Q: Do you have a cool library experience you'd like to share?
Not exactly a library experience, but I was reminded of this the other day by a family member that my grandmother was a librarian! She was definitely one of the people who got me into books and reading (I used to hate it!).
Q: What are you reading?
I am currently reading, albeit very slowly, the Wheel of Time series.
