MNLINK: Minnesota's revamped interlibrary loan service offers unparalleled access

MNLINK, Minnesota's statewide interlibrary loan service, has relaunched with a new, user-friendly platform. The updated system provides access to millions of items from libraries across the state. The new platform will enable Minnesotans to easily borrow books, movies, articles and more for many years to come.

MNLINK transition updates: Training dates and a news release to share

The MNLINK transition continues to progress. The system is undergoing internal review, and training dates have been set. A news release is also available for libraries to share with their patrons and communities.

Minitex selects ReShare hosted by Index Data for MNLINK

Minitex is excited to announce that we have selected ReShare, hosted by Index Data, to replace the VDX system that supports MNLINK. MNLINK’s new platform is scheduled to go live by early summer, 2024. We extend our thanks to the members of the MNLINK Transition Task Force, whose work made this decision possible.

MNLINK transition project update: Vendor demos complete

All vendor demos in response to MNLINK Transition Task Force's request for procurement have been held, and usability and accessibility evaluations are ongoing. Minitex runs MNLINK, Minnesota's statewide interlibrary loan portal. The software that makes MNLINK possible, VDX, will be retired by OCLC in June 2024.

MNLINK vendor responses received; vendor demos to be scheduled soon

The MNLINK Transition Task Force has closed its RFP and is now scoring responses to determine finalists. Finalist demos are tentatively planned for the end of February.
