New year, new frequency
After testing the waters over the last few issues, we are officially changing the frequency of the Digital Initiatives & Metadata Review newsletter to a bi-monthly schedule. The schedule is subject to change, but we plan to send out newsletters for 2020 in February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Please note that this recording will be removed at the end of the day on Friday, September 20. For full consideration, please submit your comments using the Candidate Feedback Form by the end of the day today, Friday, September 13.
John Butler appointed Interim Director of Minitex
With the retirement of Valerie Horton, John Butler has been appointed Interim Director of Minitex effective July 9. John is currently Associate University Librarian for Data & Technology in the University of Minnesota Libraries and has longstanding knowledge and engagement with Minitex programs and services.

The search for a Director of Minitex continues and the position has been reposted. The search committee remains in place, with representatives from the various library sectors Minitex supports. The Minitex Reference Outreach and Instruction (ROI) unit has been awarded the "Library Team of the Year" award at the State History Day competition.
