The 2023 winners of the Minnesota Author Project will be announced on October 4 at the MLA Annual Conference in Saint Paul. Winners are chosen in three categories, Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, and Communities Create.
The Minnesota Author Project is a library-supported contest for self-published authors and community groups. The contest is accepting submissions for this year's prizes through May 31. Winners receive a $2,000 cash prize and their books are featured in an online collection and promoted in Library Journal and at Minnesota Libraries.
The Minnesota Author Project is seeking judges to support the competition's sixth edition. Judges should expect to read approximately ten books from mid-May through September. The deadline to volunteer is Friday, April 21.
The Minnesota Author Project announced award winners for Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, and Communities Create on Friday, October 28 at the Minnesota Library Association Conference in Duluth. This marked the contest's fifth year recognizing Minnesota-based self-published authors.
The Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) joins libraries throughout the state in announcing the call for entries in this year’s Minnesota Author Project statewide contest. Submissions will be accepted April 1 - May 31.
