Minitex exhibits and offers sessions at MLA

Minitex staff will be exhibiting and presenting several sessions at the Minnesota Library Association's Annual Conference at RiverCentre, in St. Paul, on October 4th and 5th.

Introducing Elissah Becknell, Cataloging and Metadata Education Librarian

Elissah Becknell joins Minitex after 13 years at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Elissah, a lifelong Minnesotan, will be devoting most of her time and energy to cataloging and metadata education.

New cataloging client: Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

The Minitex Contract Cataloging Program has a new client: the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency! We recently performed original cataloging for items detailing specifications and uses for various kinds of containment tanks. Leslie Hunter-Larson, MPCA's Librarian, says that her experience has been "easy and seamless," and she plans to continue sending materials to us for original cataloging.

Minitex Contract Cataloging completes several projects

The Minitex Contract Cataloging program has been busy this winter! We have processed and completed projects for many libraries around the region, including Concordia College, Southwest Minnesota State University, Washington County Library, South Central Technical College - Mankato, and PACCAR Technical Library. Our catalogers process materials of all types and formats, including CDs, DVDs, technical reports, and of course monographs.

Minitex seeks new Contract Catalogers

Are you an experienced cataloger? Do you have a few hours here and there to fill? Then Minitex is looking for you!
